Boise State to play Non-Conference Games against Nevada and Fresno State in 2011
Boise State University has completed its non-conference football schedule for the 2011 season with the announcement the Broncos will play the University of Nevada and Fresno State.
The Broncos will host the Wolf Pack on Oct. 1 (Saturday), and the following week travel to play the Bulldogs on Oct. 8 (Saturday).
Nevada and Fresno State will play league games in the Western Athletic Conference next season before moving to the Mountain West Conference in 2012.
Boise State joins the MWC next year.
We are excited to continue the rivalry Boise State has with both Nevada and Fresno State next season, and look forward to both schools joining us in the Mountain West Conference beginning in 2012, Boise State Director of Athletics Gene Bleymaier stated.
Boise States non-conference schedule for next season includes games at Ole Miss on (Saturday; Sept. 3), at Toledo (Saturday; Sept. 17), at home against Tulsa (Saturday; Sept. 24), at home against Nevada (Saturday; Oct. 1) and at Fresno State (Saturday; Oct. 8).
The Broncos MWC schedule in 2011 will include games against Air Force, Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State, TCU, UNLV and Wyoming. Dates and locations for all Mountain West Conference games in 2011 will be announced by the league office early next year.

Broncos Announce Football Series with Michigan State
Boise State has agreed to a three-game football series with Michigan State, Director of Athletics Gene Bleymaier announced Friday.
The Broncos will open the 2012 season at Michigan State (Aug. 31), and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
“This will be another nationally-televised marquee match-up to begin the season,” Bleymaier said. “Michigan State is a premier program and we are excited about playing a Big Ten opponent.”
Boise State opened its 2009 season with a 19-8 victory over No. 16 Oregon, and also defeated No. 6 Virginia Tech (33-30) to open the 2010 season. Both games were televised nationally by ESPN.
The series will continue with Michigan State playing at Bronco Stadium Sept. 17, 2022, and the teams will again meet in East Lansing, Mich., in 2023 (Sept. 16). Boise State will receive a guarantee of $1.2 million for the 2012 game and the schools will exchange $300,000 for the games in 2022 and 2023.
The Spartans are currently ranked No. 5 in all three major polls, and their No. 5 ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings is the highest in school history.
With the agreement, the Broncos will move their game at Oregon State to Sept. 24, 2016. Boise State has also moved its 2012 game against Miami (Ohio) scheduled for Sept. 1, and will now play Sept. 15, 2012.

ESPN College GameDay & ABC Sports Headed To Boise

Just minutes after Boise State's 51-6 victory at Wyoming, ESPN announced that it's College GameDay crew would be making its first visit to the state of Idaho, taking over the Boise State campus next Saturday in anticipation of the Boise State-Oregon State game. Shortly following that, kick-off for the game itself was set for a prime time window at 6:00 pm MT (8:00 pm ET) on ABC. The matchup between top 25 teams will be a full national broadcast as well, marking Boise State's first Saturday regular season football game shown nationally on ABC or any other broadcast network.
The Broncos currently reside at number three in both major national polls and sit at 2-0, with a win over Virginia Tech in Washington DC and a road win against Wyoming. The Oregon State game will be Boise State's 2010 home opener.

New Nike Pro Combat Uniform Will Be Worn Against Virginia Tech
Nike launched the new Nike Pro Combat uniforms this morning. 10 Teams were chosen to wear the new gear, and the Broncos were one of the 10 chosen.
