Conference Movement!!!

News tonight regarding the Pac 10, Big 10 and Big XII that could change the landscape of college sports.
ESPN is reporting that the Pac 10 has formally invited Colorado to join the conference and FoxSports Ohio is reporting that the Big 10 has invited Nebraska to be it's 12th member.
The sports news website orangeblood.com reports that the Nebraska board of regents has agreed to move to the Big 10 and a formal announcement is set for Friday, citing a source close to the board. the University of Missouri is also looking to join the Big 10.
Now, with Nebraska apparently headed to the Big 10...the Pac 10 is poised to raid the Big XII
The University of Texas president and it's athletic director met with longhorn coaches this evening and told them "we did everything we could to save the Big 12 but were unsuccessful."
Along with the invitation sent out to Colorado five other invitations will be extended to Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech.
The Pac 10 favored Colorado over Baylor because of the Buffaloes' presence in the Denver tv market.
The only potential hitch is if Nebraska and the Big 10 don't come to an agreement.
Right now...that appears unlikely.
However, if they can't come to an agreement, the Pac 10 may expand to at least 12 teams. While Colorado would be in...Utah is a top alternative candidate.
It's also possible that the Pac 10 could make a play for Nebraska or another Big XII school instead of Utah.
